THE CLIENT

Ka’Chava is an all-in-one superfood meal. It’s a blend of organic superfoods and plant-based proteins that help you feel your best.

 
 

OBJECTIVE

Ka’Chava wanted content that radiated positivity, energy, and a sense of well-being. Our goal was to capture the essence of Arizona—endless blue skies, red rock backdrops, and the pure joy of movement—to create lifestyle-driven content with subtle product integration.

 
 

APPROACH

Outlive handled the project from start to finish: scriptwriting, pre-production, production, and post. We pitched the creative direction, shaping a story around Brittany, an ultra-runner whose passion for running mirrors Ka’Chava’s mission of fueling adventure and healthy living. Instead of a product-first campaign, we let lifestyle lead the way, weaving Ka’Chava into Brittany’s authentic story.

Pre-production involved scouting Sedona’s rugged trails and dramatic vistas to determine light, angles, and permit needs.

 
 
 
 

PRODUCTION

We had one full day in Sedona, capturing trail running across three different locations: sunrise, midday, and sunset. Each setting allowed us to showcase a different energy and feel.

Photography and video were captured in a mix of staggered and tandem setups. About 75% of the shoot ran staggered, with dedicated time for each medium, while 25% overlapped. flash photography made truly simultaneous capture tricky.

 
 

SHARED SHOOT

The day brought a unique challenge: we were also shooting simultaneously for an eyewear brand. That meant filming many of the same scenes twice: once with sunglasses and once without. It required extra coordination, but it’s a model we love WHERE multiple non-competing brands sharE a shoot day, keeping costs down while still delivering premium, agency-level content.
